I have a Phenom II X4 at 3.8ghz, 8GB of DDR2-800 ram, and a GTX 660. I have vsync forced off in the Nvidia settings (which is only effective in fullscreen, unsure why!), but I'm not getting "good" framerates. The game runs like 75 FPS when I'm looking at nothing, and then when I'm actually in action I see 20 to 50 FPS. This is all at 1920x1080 with stock High settings in the game.

So I checked my CPU and GPU track, and neither is hitting maximum *CONFUZZLED* I mean, I know this is BETA, but is this a known issue? I didn't see anything on the patch forums about this.

im having same issues with this game. i might have a couple more patches in me. after that if the issue is not resolved, this game will be in my recycle bin.

In fast Mechs and while brawling with more than one Mech visible, the fps drops even more.
GPU at around 30% and all CPU cores at 70% load.

My FPS drops below 15 when there's a bit of action. I have an i5 760 @ 2.80GHz, Radeon HD 5850 1024MB, 4GB system ram, Windows 7. Is my beast too old for this game?

FPS certainly isn't very stable. And oddly enough lowering graphics settings doesn't do much (CPU isn't maxed either). Not really sure what's up. Best guess would be poor optimization.

I reckon you're right. I tried low settings and very high settings. They both ran well, but the very high setting did give me a large video lag spike which lasted for a few seconds, then wen't back to normal.

I have the same, it's probably just the game not being able to use the 4 cores effectively when a lot is going on. For some reason when looking at friendly or enemy mechs the fps suffers terribly, probably one thread on the cpu dictating the pace of the game or a few threads constantly having to wait for oneanother.

I'd also like to point out that everyone I know playing the beta has this problem.
