I am having an issue with the language around unlocking efficiencies*, and I would appreciate someone clearing it up for me.
Let's say I use a Hunchback, and I want to unlock Master efficiency.
Do I have to max out Elite of 3 Hunchback variants (4G, 4J, 4P),
OR do I have to max out Elite of 3 medium variants (1 Hunchback, 1 Centurion, 1 Cicada),
OR do I have to max out 3 Elites of 3 medium variants (3 Hunchback, 3 Centurion, 3 Cicada)?
I just do not want to invest C-Bills and exp into a new mech I am not maining, and this would mean both Heavy and Assault mechs are currently unable to unlock Master if you would need 3 variants of the weight class.
*Taken from the game:
"Purchase all BASIC efficiencies for 3 variants of this chassis to unlock ELITE."
Then
"Purchase all ELITE efficiencies for 3 variants of this weight class to unlock MASTER."

You have to max out Elite of 3 medium variants. It can be 3 variants of the same mech, or 3 different mechs, it doesn't matter. However, since you need to max all basics for 3 variants of one mech to unlock the elite tier in the first place, if you want to get Master by using 3 variants from different base mechs, you have to max at least 9 mech variants' worth of basics... so I would not recommend that, but it is your choice to make.
