Mech Rotates Left And Up Continuously

Well I've come back after a break and now I can't seem to get any mech to respond properly. The mech torso rotates left and up continuously. I can try to compensate by continually moving the mouse down and to the right but as soon as I stop the mech rotates off to the upper left again. Needless to say I can't play this way and there is no way to test it without actually entering a match and hosing my team since I really can't do anything.

I'm puzzled as to what is happening. I have not experienced this sort of control issue with any game before so I have no idea how to address it. It seems the game calibration is off for the mouse but I don't see any way to address that.

Any ideas?

Do you have a joystick or a gamepad connected to your computer?

I bet you have. In the case I am right then just unplug them. Job done.
If I lost my bet... then... erm... no clue.

Edit:
Constant movement to the same direction is usually a locked analog input.

Checked your assigned keys in the Options? Maybe something changed?

I'm assuming it is not your mouse as it would be pretty obvious if that was the problem.

I do use a joystick in the game and always have but not in the traditional sense. Mine is set as a keyboard emulator via the CH Control Manager Software. Then I program the stick to send the appropriate keystrokes and I use the mouse or in my case the trackball in my left hand.

I have recalibrated the stick several times assuming it was the stick although I couldn't see why because the stick is emulating key strokes. Unfortunately recalibrating made no difference. So then I thought well I wonder what happens if I try another shooter type game since I use the same type of configuration with any shooter game. I have no issues in other games. The issue seems to be in MWO only.

I guess I will have to literally unplug everything from my computer and then slowly add them back one at a time and try a match each time to see if I can isolate the issue. If there is a stuck input it should show up in other games though. It shouldn't be isolated to MWO which is why I'm so puzzled.

For me, having the joystick plugged in at all did a similar effect. Wasn't able to throttle, so I became a turret that match even after I unplugged it. Just have it unplugged when you're not going to use it and it should hopefully get rid of the issue.

Well after disconnecting all controllers and then adding them back one at a time to find the piece causing the problem it turns out it was my rudder pedals. Ironically, I've always had them installed and didn't have an issue before when I played MWO but it now appears no amount of calibrating them will get rid of the issue so I had to leave them unplugged.

Try uninstalling the drivers completely with Driver sweeper, then reinstall the drivers for the pedals/joystick, fixed the problem for me.

Ha!

I had this same problem. I just realized that my keyboard was touching the thumbstick on my Saitek Cyborg Command unit, which I don't use for this game (but keep plugged in all the time).

Guess this other topic is useless to me, now...

The X and Y axis on the CH rudder pedals are used by the toe brakes (Pushing down on either pedal rather than moving them forward or back).

As such their default position is not center but actually 0 on the X and 0 on the Y, center for joysticks is 128, 128.

Recalibrating wont change that. You are already using mapped mode from the CH software if you are emulating keystrokes from a stick, so simply set the Pedal axis to programmed mode rather than Direct X mode and the problem should go away.

Alternatively... use the pedals to steer ... Im doing and loving that. Also working on mouse emulation for joystick support, since I cant seem to set the deadzone ingame low enough to make fine aim adjustment usable.

Sounds like a broken neurohelment. Try to recalibrate the gamma wave interface and replace the neurotransmiitter coils.

You may also wish to try shaving your head. It helps the neurohelmet pick up on signals from your brain. Do this before recalibration so the onboard computer gets a proper signal.
