Yesterday i had 12-18 games, everytime, i check the players table (TAB). to see pings.
and quess what.

80-90% of all players had ping 120+ ms. which i think is, because its connected from other regions then USA/Canada. (mostly europe).

I had everytime also 120ms myself, which led me to think, those are from EU region.
only 1-3 guys from 16 players ingame, have 20-70ms..... not more people.
When Im playing BF3 (i have around 20-30ms in EU servers, when playing Diablo3, I have 50-60ms in eu region, so i know, what i have for ping.)

Isnt it better to put server in EU, instead of USA/Canada ? there is better playerbase i think for this type of game... what do you think guys ?

The Space Pope believes that there should be servers available for all geographic regions(at the very least North America and Europe) but that a player should be able to switch between each of those servers freely.

As there may be many reasons a player wishes to play in a different geographic region/time zone. Such as activity server population, group/clan affiliation, friends in different regions, etc.

Dude...please...

wake up !

- We ask them to get the FPS settled, nothing happens at all.
- People from Australia have a ping of 300+ as a standard.

- Nothing will happen.

Basically this is a beta, the fact alone that you can log in is enough. No, thats not my oppinion, thats how I feel being treated.

But dont worry, all your troubles will go away in short...new battlemechs will arrive you can spend your cash on. Yeppy!

Lots of US players have pings of around 100-120ms to servers in the US in other games. MWO servers are in Canada as far as I am aware.

It is necessary to consider the time of day when such measurements. I have time +4 GMT (Moscow). Pacific time in a difference of about 12 hours. When I play most of the time, the Americans just go to work and vice versa.
I apologize for Google translate.

yes they need servers in US, EU, AUS, etc.... will it happen? dont know, maybe not.
I'm in the UK and on average getting a ping of 110ms. i've been in matches with jenners (which are bad enough at the best of times) with pings of 400-700ms, needless to say those players ended up at top of table.

Thats definitely a good point and a pretty decent Google translation (assuming it was a full translation and wasn't touched up). In some games I see a lot of low pings and others I'll see a lot of high pings and I wouldn't be surprised if time of day was a big part of that.

I'd love a European server of some kind. I'm high 200s now, will hopefully be 200 flat if we get an EU server. If we get one quite far south in Europe, I might get below 200!

Nope. when I play in the late evening european time we have around half of players playing with far less than 100 ping. Far too much to only being canadians.

My next purchase will be only with EU servers online.

The very bad part is weapon balancing happens on 120ms+ results.

/this!

I'm playing with ~30 friends - half of us spend cash on the founder package, also to see EU servers running early.
Playing ballistic with 150ms+ sucks. esp. as you have some decent jitter/spikes in latency for the transatlantic connection.
With the free premium gone, I'm taking a MWO break until we can play on EU servers.

Every evening its the same: with progressing time the number of lowpingers (North american players?!) is growing and are taking advantage of their local benefit. In the early evening the games are fair and very funny! I played last week a few battles at 0430 GMT+1 with 150ms against 30ms Mechs only and was cored several times within seconds by ballistics. Not funny!

I will start premium time/invest more money only on a regional server (EU) with fair pings. But when there is a EU-Server, I 120% will invest more money in that really nice game! Meanwhile I will reactivate WoT-premium, like lot of my clan mates.

Best ping I had was around 90, everything under 200 is still in my "Playable" book. To game servers in the EU I usually have around 40-50ms ping which would be better than some US players connecting to a .CA based server.

Its not all about the actual location of the server, but which backbone provider it is connected to and how many hops you have to make to reach that server.

At least some news and a roadmap for servers outside canada would be greatly appreciated.
It's been some time since we've last heard anything about it...

I enjoy the game as it is right now, but a decent ping would really enhance that experience without any doubt. :P

I think we all know as a fact its running on an old dinky SGI workstation, the same that runs the forum database, email and web server. :P
