I saw this on Facebook today. Looks like it could be a hint of what's to come. Posted Image

I can't quite tell what that is behind the Hunchback though.

Good spot :)

In this week we get the Battletech 10, then perhaps... (I'm a big fan of the Urbie :o)

But i don't believe it.

12 mech, what we get, at least what we think to get.

Those, what we know until now:

Light Mech:

Commando, Jenner, Raven

Medium Mech:

Centurion, Hunchback

Heavy Mech:

Dragon, Catapult

Assault Mech:

Awesome, Atlas

I do believe we got 3 mech in each class (Light, Medium, Heavy and Assault).

I personally think the Urbie is a no-go, perhaps later, as a 13. mech...

But this is only my personal toughs...

I think that's a Dragon.

Like i have said before. i wouldn't mind seeing the urbie in the game, yet i would rather see the devs make other mechs.

I'm really starting to think we will have a bit more. You know, when you implement weapons and such to the game, it's a bit easier to make mechs, but we can't say till we know for sure. :)

If they want to spoil us for the 15k likes, please not with the Urbie. Rather than actually giving us a specific 'Mech, the devs could tell us that we'll have more than 12 designs ready at launch.

"12 mechs at launch" is a bad myth that needs to go. this isnt the 1990's, the technology has changed, the skill of developers has changed. theres 12 mechs per side in a mission. 12 is NOT the magic number.

nice picture of the urbie :)

To ensure the productivity and coding isn't wasted, I think any petition mechs (like the urban mech) should require a registered account, and that account should be required to pilot the mech for 1 hour for every 1 hour of piloting something else until 20 urbie hours are accumulated. Alternatively you can buy urbie hours in the cash shop.

That way everyone wins. the urbie fans, and the players that like to destroy them for cbills.

The skill of developers has changed, yes. However like most things with age, the technology has gotten only more complicated, roles have become even more specialized, and games have become much more expensive to produce.

I agree with this. Making a mech model isn't what it used to be in the 90's. Compare their mechs with this:

The mech behind the Hunchback looks more like a Battlemaster to me.
