I am also confused because there seems to be at least two thread merged that post the same post into both threads. I made a new thread about the purchase error for anyone who wants to comment further on it.

Hi again! I think we figured out this noodle-scratcher.

Since the patch we have made several of the PC Gamer colours more vibrant than the base colours in order to better differentiate them from those base colours. As a result you may notice your PC Gamer colours are a bit shinier.

Switching to a less vibrant base colour will cost MC, as only the PC Gamer colours are free for those who entered the PC Gamer code.

Could you clarify what you mean?

I am finding that the free PC gamer colours are darker as shown in my screenshots. Recreating the original colours costs MC using the following premium colours (and one basic):

Basic Red (primary)
Gray (secondary)
Black (tertiary)

As shown in the third screenshot.

Understood, so free MC paint on previously applied PC Gamer skin Whoo!

I believe this thread can now be locked! Though it might be worth pinning the original colour scheme for those that wish to recreate it.

Why is it that when you select the PC Gamer colors on the color channels they are significantly less vibrant than the actual colors displayed on the unedited PC Gamer skin?

Because they made the decision to change the colours. The default still loads the old colours up, but once you have changed them you are stuck with the new ones forever. (Unless you pay to change them back).

i hope they'll add a "reset color"-button so you can get back the original skin without having to pay mc.

Yeah like, there isnt an option period to restore to original vibrant colors. I would very much like that, and it shouldnt be an MC only option because there just isnt a restore to default on anything.

Switching to a less vibrant base colour will cost MC, as only the PC Gamer colours are free for those who entered the PC Gamer code.
If you do not have sufficient MC to purchase that base colour you will receive an error message.

The issue popping up the error message regarding failure to purchase is a separate issue, would those experiencing that issue please start a new thread on the matter?

So you guys made a conscious decision to make "PC Gamer" colors not look like the colors that PC Gamer uses?

Anyone comparing the PC Gamer skin and then attempting to replicate a slightly different scheme using the same colors will quickly realize the color listed as PC Gamer Red does not match the color the skin comes with automatically. It does however match Franken Red, somebody made an oopsie...

This has been covered previously. None of the PC gamers match up. This is an intentional change.

The original Colours are:

Basic Red,
Black,
White / Grey (don't see much of a difference here)

Though this will cost MC.

Do NOT expect this to change. As this is an intentional choice to distinguish PC gamer colours from basic colours.

I made a thread about this myself yesterday within five minutes of the patch dropping.

Because it is now. The default is not actually what it looks like. Ah it is weird.

The colors given by having access to the PC Gamer skin aren't the same colors as the skin.

I don't know what Black it is (I haven't checked because that was the least obvious), but the White and Red are very different. I think the default skin has "winter white" and "phranken red".

Can I please have access to the colors I own instead of different ones? I'm too afraid to change the skin and never get it back unless I spend money.
