STK-3Fb

85 tons

4x Medium Laser

2x ER Large Laser

2 LRM15 with Artemis IV FCS

17 Double Heat Sinks

Guardian ECM

This is what I want to buy myself for Christmas. I'd pay you now on good faith if it were possible (although I still have a stockpile of MC)

I know the 3fb wasn't in the list of Stalker variants (3F, 5M, 3H, 4N, 5S) but many of those are pretty similar in hardpoint layout(based on stock weapon number and position) and the 3fb would really stand out as a decidedly different build with it's exclusive access to the Guardian ECM (if the D DC can have one, so can the Stalker!)

I'm not familiar with which Heavy mechs/variants are good ECM candidates, but there is clearly a canon precedence for an ECM Stalker.

I would pay for this too, especially if it had access to ECM.
I was thinking of possibly buying a Stalker when it came out since I LRM boat a lot .

Some awesome variant also has ECM...

Cyclops have it too? I know they're not announced, but I loved that mech.

I'm surprised it wasn't one of the announced variants. It was introduced in 2705 and has all the 'lostech' upgrades that have become available. Technically the same exact equipment can be loaded on a STK-3F, which is what I assume the reason is for not including it.

I think we should just ask the devs kindly to make the STK-3F as the only Stalker variant to mount ECM. I suggest adding a poll option.

Before in previous posts I was for ECM on anything, but I realize that in order for certain equipment to be unique, it should only be available to specific chassis' (more specifically; canon variants). The STF-3F clearly should be ECM mountable.

Another Assault that should technically have it is the AWS-9M, since the 9Q was introduced in 3057 adding ECM making it the 'final' factory upgrade of the 8/9 series.

Oh my...8 players all using this variant could stomp some serious mech posterior if they coordinate builds.
What is the armor and speed like in these mechs?

For the STK-3F and STK-3Fb, armor is different, but speed is the same.

The exact TRO stats:

STK-3F
432 armor
255 Engine (54 km/h)

STK-3Fb
496 armor
255 Engine (54 km/h)
(extra .5 tons is devoted to CASE, which they forgot to mention on Sarna)

There is also a sub-variant of the STK-3Fb, which is the STK-3Fk (2xLL, 4xML, 2xALRM10 + 4 SSRM2 = 6 EH, 6 MH, BV Rating is over 9,000 (j/k, but OP)!)
