BAP seems to give the same benefits as sensor range module (but better) and target info gathering module as well as detect shut down mechs within 180m. Just about any mech with weapons that benefit from sensors get the BAP, but I'm considering getting one or both of these modules as well maybe. Are they additive/cumulative in their bonuses or are they redundant technologies? Do these modules improve the sensor range and/or the target gathering delay of a mech already running BAP?

So I bought the info gathering module and the sensor range module and loaded on one mech. Do these benefits stack with BAP benefits, or is their only use if you don't want to mount BAP or have BAP disabled in battle?

Maybe throw this into the next "Ask the Devs" collection thread. I really hope that we soon get more detailed tooltips on specific items.

i have a lock range of ~1100m with both installed on my streakcat. normally wrack up about 28k per match in scouting bonuses while i wait for them to get into my killzone
(ECM is going to kill that)

afaik it stacks up. just try it out, take a light and wait for forest. From F4 you can see most of the map. just look with thermal and note the ranges.Post them here

They probably stack but why waste weight on the BAP anyway?

BAP is a lot of value right now. More than the modules given their prohibitive cost to buy ($2M and $4M each). Assuming your mech can load two modules (not catapults), even after $6M you still don't get as much bonus as $400K BAP with 1.5 tons and 2 crits. I think BAP is more useful investment of space and weight than AMS and is especially useful until ECM trumps it in cost/benefit. Every mech in my fleet that needs sensors (for streak SRM's or LRM's or even snipers) gets it. But if the two modules can stack the benefits, then they are worthwhile as a secondary investment for missle lock mechs.
And scouts, I forgot. If you want to scout and collect bonuses, then BAP is great investment.
