Hi,

with the help of others here (thx), i have created a "sport" version of atlas. Its for close to mid range brawling....
focus on speed:

Posted Image

AS7-D-DC

(firepower 62) (heat efficiency 1.30) (armor 608/614) (Speed 62.4 - elite x1)
all slots full
100/100 tons

- 350 standard engine (4x double heatsink) + 1 DHS external

ES + DHS + ART + ECM

- AC20 + 3x ammo
- 2x medium laser
- 2x SRM6 + 3x artemis ammo
- machine gun (for fun, distraction = opponent at close range constantly on fire) + 1x ammo .. :P
- AMS + 1x ammo

Current modules:

- sensor range
- capture accelerator

if you think it can be better, feel free to comment...

The weapon load-out seems really weak. Your effective range is under 300m so you build him for brawling? With that load-out you can't win any brawls with other atlases. The whole build needs a serious rethink imo. My signature has my guide for 4 atlases if you want to check that out for ideas.

ye its not so powerfull, but that wasnt the point, i will not play alone. its for short to mid-range in group.

under 300m are the missiles, the lasers + AC10 is for 400-700m....

+ swap AC 10 for AC 20
+ swap SSRM's for additional SRM 6's
+ get rid off the MG or uninstall the game

EDIT: Seen to late:

+ stop using FF armour in general, and especially on an Atlas
(FF will gain you LESS tonnage than endosteel + increase your repair bills A LOT + even enodsteel should not get used on an Atlas because you need the room for either weapons or heatsinks)

Sorry don't understand your logic. You think its Ok for you to be weaker than you should because you have teammates? You know the enemy has teammates too...

Love the paintjob.

I'm currently running my DDC (mastered w/extra Module slot) as:
350 engine
Endo
DHS
AC20 +2T
SRM6x3 (Artemis) +3T
2x ML

yeah, get rid of ferro. not really a fan of endo on an atlas either, double heatsinks eat all the space. but I guess with a big engine the sinks in the engine alone are ok if you run high damage/heat weapons.

ferro is always less weight saved than endo, and both eat 14 slots. another disadvantage of ferro is the huge repair bill. ferro is only good for jenners that run both ferro and endo because they want a lot of stuff on.

Ditch Ferro, not worth it considering you'll be replacing armor(EXPENSIVE) before structure and how little weight savings it offers. And like others have said, you'll want something for long range. Even if it's just a large laser.

Sporty paint job, just needs a racing stripe! :D

Sensor Range & 360 Degree Tracking, 2 blanks. Haven't bought anymore (I expect more to come out & some balancing to happen - I just enjoy driving this thing!!!!) and have all but capture speed unlocked.

I will probably ditch 1 ML and a little armor for a Guardian ECM when they come out. Although currently it's only available in the head slot and requires 2 slots, which is impossible....

I feel like if you are adding artemis you should really take advantage of all three missile slots.
I'm also not sure about the benefits of adding both ECM and AMS - seems like the ECM is going to massively reduce the efficiency of fitting AMS.

Personally I am running a 325 with ECM, dual ultra ac5, 3 srm 6 with artemis, LLAS and tag. But it's a work in progress.

Build looks much better than it did before. AC20 backed up by SRMs and MLAS is appropriately scary at close range. Is there anyway to cram that 3rd SRM in? Even a little baby SRM4? If you have Artemis equipped, it might be worth it.

thanks. actually adding the 3rd SRM, is possible only if i sacrifice MG.. and that is what i like most at close range.... opponent constantly on fire = distraction.

but someone else could try it....

regarding the remaining AMS, i reduced ammo from 2x into 1x. but still keep it there, cause atm, people using ECM in guardian mostly, but later on, i expect people learn how to use distract mode, and then, my AMS will still be useable, when someone nullify my ECM...

I'm gonna be your bro about MGs, I love mine triple stacked on my Dragon.

But...

IMO they only work as a good distraction/added damage if you are flying something fast and pesky. If you can constantly pelt a mech while running circles around them, it's a great annoyance. If you are just standing toe to toe with an Atlas? I gotta assume an SRM pack of any size would serve you much better. I would consider swapping it out if you really want to min/max. Of course if you like em, keep em. Running at 95% and enjoying yourself is better than 100% and being bored.
