Jenners take 3 to 4 full streakcat salvos to kill, unlike metal babby or raven that only take 1 or 2.

A raven 3L can mount the exact same amount of armor as any jenner if they wanted. 232. A raven 3L can mount a 295 XL engine compared to any jenners 300 XL engine. So they can go nearly as fast.

The ravens that go down in 1 to 2 vs the jeeners going down in 3 to 4 were doing it wrong.

It's more how the jenner's hitboxes work I think.

critical parts takes less damage from streaks conpared to ravens.

does the Raven have arms on the side? in past games we basically used arms as cushing against missles, because missles would hit from the side most of the time.

TAG hard-counters ECM. Any 'mech under ECM that is hit with a TAG can be locked, so just equip a TAG and you can streak away to your heart's delight.

Yea, let's see here: We're using SSRMs because we can't hit Jenners with direct-fire weapons because of the screwed up netcode, and now they're buffing Jenners so that SSRMs can't hit them, but that's OK because we can counter it by using TAG which is like hitting them with a direct-fire weapon, only harder....

Man is their anything that people are not willing to blame on Jenners? What a crap load of failure.

My guncat can dish out 1000+ damage and get 6 kills, unless I get hit by a lagshielded Jenner, in which case neither my lasers nor my ACs/Gauss will be of any use whatsoever.

My streakcat has topped out at 900ish damage and 5 kills, but it can hit Jenners.

I much prefer guns and lasers, but the current state of the game gives fast, tough light mechs an overwhelming advantage against unguided weaponry.

The difference is that I'm not in here calling for top speed nerfs because of the lagshield; I got annoyed by people taking advantage of a peculiarity of the game, so I took advantage of a different peculiarity of the game to kill them.

Those peculiarities will be balanced out, at some point, and then we will all play differently.

So, I've noticed that unlike most other light mechs, jenners seem to have significantly streak resistance. Upon looking further into it, I've noticed that typically about 30-50% of streaks will enter orbit around the jenner and just spin around it until they run out of range and disappear.

Not sure about the frequency, but I can confirm seeing this happen! They spin in a very tight orbit. I have only seen it a couple of times and I was pretty close to the jenners. Laughed out loud the first time I saw it. I'll admit that I didn't notice if the missiles actually hit or if they ran out of range as the OP suggests... I assumed they circled and hit but it's quite possible OP is right.

Streaks are dead after the next patch, why worry about it now? Nobody is going to waste weight on missiles they can't use against ECM equipped or covered mechs.

Jenner wont have ECM but Raven will

And your tag stops working once your less than 180m from your target, which will happen pretty quick unless your a streak commando.

hm so they did remove the jenner. not sure what i'll be piloting then lol. Think i'll skip buying a whole series of mechs to skillup a ECM mech until they balance/nerf it down abit though and stick to laser/ac mechs for now.

Its kinda like this

Jenner < Streaks < Atlas

Paper < Scissors < Rock

So what beats an Atlas when it mounts streaks (i.e is a rock carrying around scissors invincible)?

What happens when the Jenner mounts streaks and attacks the Atlas (i.e. what happens when paper attacks rock with scissors)?

The logic of this relationship is not so simple. :)
