Hello guys,

i have a weird problem an the google search doesnt come up with any help at all.

So far the game never worked on my desktop (first game so far)....

My spec is:
CPU: i5-3570k.
RAM: 16gb
DOS: Win7 sp1 64bit
DX: newest dx
GC: ATI 4870 - catalyst 12.6
.net: Framework 4.5

When i start the game a small textbox pops up named "Error" and with following text in it: "Failed to initialize the Gamestartup Interface!" I can just press ok and i will stay on my desktop. My graficcard seems enough...will wait for new Ati in spring.

Cheers!

@OP: Your game files are corrupt/damaged. Make sure you have atleast 4GB left on the drive your installing the game to and Reinstall the game using this method: Remove the Game using ONLY This program: http://support.micro...l_and_uninstall
Then Install and patch the game, try MWO and report back here.

I uninstalled MWO with the linked program and everything was a clean uninstall with green marks afterwards (so seems ok). Reinstalled and patched (did that 3 or 4 times before) and now same error again. Maybe missing some 3rd party software "microsoft virtual c++"???

The Log shows me that nothing is wrong except for a runaway thread... When was the last time you ran Windows update? and yes you require these to be installed:
Directx9c: http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86: http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5555
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=14632
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 x86/64: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=26999

Plus Update ALL your Drivers.
