Ok i will admit this is a silly silly build. its really just bad, and i by no means think you should use it if you want to win.... but. its funny.
Raven 3L
2x med lasers
TAG
LRM-20
the important part here is that the LRM-20 be IN THE ARM...
the narc launcher is a single shot tube, so only shoots one missile at a time.
go into battle, get a lock, tag em, and watch the missile stream fly!
like i said its honestly BAD. but certainly amusing.

Narc and Tag are useless in this game.
Some may argue otherwise, but considering what you could get for that extra Ton or 4 tons in the case of the NARC it's just not worth it. Even if weighed nothing it still wouldn't be worth it.
But the LRM 20 is cool. Ain't nothing wrong with that mech. Use it to support at LR then once the ammo goes dry head in to finish them off.

to each their own on the TAG/ NARC front.
the mech would be a lot better if the 20 was in the side torso even, coming out a 6 tube launcher. but nope i wanted to see what would happen with the single tube launcher in the arm... and its still funny several matches later.

I loved my Raven with his LRM 20.

I've been told it chews through your enemies AMS ammo like mad. Only ever tried it once for the lols, but died quickly to a pair of jenners.

That LRM will be the bane of any mech without AMS, 20 shot steam of rocking. Burns AMS badly but does no damage (one-by-one tradeoff).

I think putting TAG on an LRM 'mech is kind of defeating the purpose, but partner with another 'mech with a NARC launcher, tag (not to be confused with TAG) the target then get the frak out of there and bring the rain.
Add an Artemis system for added LRM goodness.

It might be worth it when they buff the TAG range, provided you can hold it on the target at 750m away.

Regarding the NARC system, what does it do? Why is the consensus here that it's useless? Reading the wiki, I could see it being quite useful if you and a couple friends built a group around it (assuming the NARC can be used by your teammates once it's on a mech)

NARC downsides compared to TAG (and everything else):
1) Limited ammo per ton
2) Limited range, which is actually currently comparable to a TAG, though that's about to change (for the worse) soon with TAG getting a boost to range.
3) Lack of lock on ability to ensure a hit on target
4) 30 second signal duration if you do hit
5) Weapon weight for something that doesn't deal damage
6) cannot counteract ECM in any way
NARC upsides over TAG:
1) You can hit something with this and scoot, and it will still broadcast lock-on ability (for 30 seconds) to your team while you go hide.
2) ...?
So basically, right now TAG is better in every way, other than that you have to keep a TAG trained on the target.

For Narc I believe you still need to keep line of sight. Or atleast keep the target locked (360 module).
