I've been holding off on new pictures while I worked on the cockpit interior and started my next school semester. I think I finally have enough to give you all another update.

Also my pilot figure arrived, his dress has inspired me to go Ghost Bear with this build instead of Clan Wolf. He'll look perfect after getting rid of the ridiculous "thumbs up" icons and replacing them with the Ghost Bear emblem and some EI tattoos. Also this guy kind of creeped me out with the amount of articulation and attention to detail (removable shoes? individual toes with toenails? REALLY?).

also, roughly how much cardboard have you used? (Im still planning on plastic sheeting to skin mine in, but can core it with cardboard as where I work I recycle a ton of boxes, almost literaly, a week)

I've probably gone through nine or ten large boxes so far, including one massive trucking company box.

nice, Im working on a way of building the arms strong enough to support PVC PPCs, like previously mentioned, Im going to use plastic sheeting as the final layer, using pvc to act as joints (the caps look nice and all) because where I live is a bit on the rainy side

I wouldn't bother with PVC, I went out to an Office Max and found 4 mailing tubes the perfect size. They can then be wrapped and reinforced to take blows and survive weather conditions.

Im also working out my wiring diagrams, since Im planning for lighting. the PPCs will light up blue (blue plastic with 4 LEDs from a flashlight behind it in each barrel) and the cockpit will be lit up.

Where did you get your pilot from?
ALSO YEAH Im going Ghost Bear too (since that is my normal clan) Omega Galaxy pain scheme

The pilot is a "Max Steel" figure I got off of Ebay for $6. I went ahead and painted the tattoos on him so he can go insane like any good Clanner.

Now that I've finished up my Masters I've started work again. This is the third or fourth time I've done this and hopefully I'll be able to complete it this time. I spray painted the torso down but decided I hated the way the gum tape texture looked when painted. So I bought a metric ton of Craft foam and have been busy cutting it up and placing it along finished components. This should let me have some nice big raised panels and deep panel lines. It should look more like a miniature in mega form when I'm done plus give it the added benefit of looking a lot smoother.

Since I'm not using the gumtape as a finished surface anymore I don't have to cover the entire thing, just the edges.

I'm basing a lot of the panel details on Pacific Rim and super detailed Gundam models. These lines were lifted directly from the RX-78

The foam also lets me weather it, though I've never done so before. I tested a couple methods out on some scrap pieces and I'm leaning towards the top one (I've also messed around with the dremel to make weapons wounds)
