Getting ahead of the powercurve here, but, for <insert reasion here when they come out, most likely something to do with a LRM boat having ECM... or ECM... or LRMs... Or Gauss... Or something else... I know, an assult streakboat with ECM. >, I think that stalkers should be removed from the game. Or nerf'd. Before they ever come out.

My only complaint about this thread is that while yes, there is a lot of whining about everything on the forum, some not insignificant portion of the whining is legitimate. You do need to sift the wheat from the chaff, but the only way to have that happen is through the discussion process.

5 energy hardpoints = 4 large lasers and a TAG
5 missile hardpoints = 5 streak 2 launchers

I would think the OP gets it and just wanted to insert a little funny into the day. Let's have a light moment before the servers go down for a bit.

I'd like to expand on this:

1. Teamwork is OP.
2. PUGing is OP.
3 Every mech in the game is OP.
4. Every weapon in the game is OP.

Therefore, I demand a GUI interface with nothing but a large red button that says "KILL" that I can press which then returns a message stating:

"SI The Joker has killed <INSERT RANDOM NAME HERE>"

I should then receive CBill rewards, a participation trophy, and a cookie.

Ultimately the problem with the Atlas is that it never had enough hard points to run sets of complementary weapon systems. Lasers and missiles are the most weight efficient, and streaks even more so, for defending yourself against lights.

I second that... Plus, I never considered the Large Laser build, but it only makes me consider an ERPPC sniper with ~alot~ of LRMs to back it up

Stalkers are totally op they have broken the game completely and the hero stalker with 12 ssrm 2's is fing ridiculous. Why on gods green earth would PGI ever think that is a good idea is beyond me, im going to demand my money back and leave the game!

top speed of something like 52 kph with the speed boost mastery hopefully will keep any whining at bay.

with a speed like that, i'm assuming the people who whine will be those who try to charge at one from the front. that crap will hurt.

Speed is 59 kph, IIRC.

Yeah, people will attack from the front and get hosed. I am expecting the see the Stalker to become the "Anti-Atlas" mech from some folks.

I beg to differ, I see it more as a Catapult K2 with a commando 2-D straddling each arm cannon.
