Why doesn't my big stompy robot have headlights. I mean, a Fiat Panda has headlights (and foglights!) but my massive walking tank thing doesn't

Please give me headlights!

cause you have Nightvision/Infrared which is more tactically sound?

use headlights, now have 2 lights that can let others know that your just round the corner.
use nightvision/IR, now they can't see you hiding round that corner till its too late.

Atlas used to have headlights in the form of their glowing red eyes you could spot the entire map away before they came up on radar.

Totally, please put headlights on every mech.
Put them on by default on night maps with a key to turn them off.

Will make PPC sniping so much easier...

Sure, they are tactically unsound. But it would be so cool to get an enemy in the middle of your spotligth beams then unleash your LBX-10....

headlights against NVG mechs should cause blurring for a few seconds... that would be fun.

The Warhammer actually had a gigantic spot light on its left shoulder. Granted, it was stolen from Robotech but it was still there.

While useless, I would like those. Something like torso mounted 1500W flood light that I can turn on/off, generating 1 heat per second. Maybe put it on my arms so I can use it as a directional light and shine it into peoples eyes.

I would also like a infrared light accompanied by infrared vision.

So, I voted yes.

Hey, we have Cockpit lights which, for all I know, are totally cosmetic so far yet they thought them out, considered adding them in, and actually added them in with 4 levels of intensity too at that!

I don't see why we can't have headlights. I mean, sure they make you visible but, there is this thing we call ''baits'' and that could have such a purpose. Aside from that, RPing, signal communication, and as previously mentioned, to blind other mechs while brawling at night!

I'm down for that to be back in a MW game.

Buzz off. I've never played BF3. Just voicing what I think would be neat. No need to talk down to people because they don't like the same apples as you, ignorant child.

I can not see why a Mech would ever have or need them with Thermal and Night version the headlights would just be pointless as they light you up for the enemy when you are behind cover and they can not see you other wise.

That been said if people want them that is fine i don`t care much as i would never use them.

Immersion, being able to appreciate a sweet paintjob in the dark, co-ordinating on TS to project smiley faces onto buildings.

Those are a few reasons off the top of my head!

Assuming you could turn it on and off at will this could be a good way to cause some chaos against people who use nv.
