We don't know. They are unseen. Probably not. ;)

I don't think I've heard of either, although I would love to see both. You have a think for dual PPC's don't you? ;) I'm glad the Atlas made it in, but personally I hope it's the version with the AC20 and not the Gauss Rifle.

Oh.. you just had to bring up those 3... Love the Marauder... used those alot back in the old tabletop game.. even modded a Warhammer in the Tabletop Game to pack a pair of Gauss Rifles (Muahahaha!), Archer... not so much.. wasn't a big fan of missile boats. Would be nice to see 'em though.

They will likely have both versions available.

It remains to be "Unseen".

btw folks, look over that "New Players Start Here, Pretty Please" thread for great links.

I would have thought the warhammer and marauder would have been two of the first ones made, both had such unique looks, I wonder if they have issues with licencing them ....

Does your quote mean that we won't be seeing these mech or they just haven't been annouced yet?

Means that they are still in limbo. Much speculation. See the link for more legal info as well as do a web and forum search for "Harmony Gold". Warning: It's not easy to understand the first read through.

Honestly, I love both so much it's hard to even say. It would be like asking who your favorite kids are.

If they are in legal limbo I guess it would be safe to assume they haven even made the models let alone set them up ready to go..... that's such a shame I loved using those mechs it just won't be the same if they are not included 'sigh'

Unseen aren't in limbo. In autumn 2011 CGL said that the artwork is unavailable and that Catalyst is not interested in further legal fighting over the matter.

Reseen (the revised artwork from 2002) aren't in limbo either, they are perfectly legal to use within BTU IP.

Thank you. But I would add "At this time" as money tends to make people reflect on past decisions.

do the reseen designs look similar to the Marauder and Warhmmer originals?

As I looked through the links, I realized that a clear explanation was not given. Well here it is:

FASA Originally licensed rights to the designs through the animation distributor NOT the property(s) owner. Once Battletech became a hit and the games became popular world wide, the original property owners (in Japan) did a Cease & Desist legal action. The genie was already out of the bottle and FASA was able to prove in court that there was no malicious intent in their use. They were just ignorant to the original owners.

Remember this was around '89, and the only way to have access to most Manga (and Anime) was through exclusive catalogs that we would find in comic specialty shops or through distributors that advertised in magazines like 'Heavy Metal' or some independent comic licensees like Comico/Eclipse excellent Macross series.

That's why FASA felt the need for the introduction of the Clans (and Omni-Mechs in general) in '90. All of the best designs were off-limits!

Mechwarrior since 1987!

Personally, I would love to see all three of those designs (as would probably just about every other player here), but I'd probably side with the Warhammer first.

I believe that both mechs, being once UNSEEN, then RESEEN, will be available only to premium players (cause they are the most sought after mechs!)

the "re-seen" designs may or may not make it... the original trailer for the game showed a re-designed war-hammer going through a city and fighting a Jenner and Atlas... and now we see nothing about it. (of course, that was before the decision to make the game online instead of just a single-player game... it was also set during the third succession war, not pre-clan invasion such as it is now)
