Since these three things make up most of the current "problems" i want to share my suggestion how to improve things.

Trial-Mechs or the famous afk-bots (or worse)
There have been some tries to prevent the abuse of these mechs but at least every second match there is one disconnect or afk (often both). While some may crash to desktop others just log out and join another match with another trial mech. To prevent this i wanna suggest that trial mech users only get credits when they stay till the end of the match. And of course they only get credits for what they have done (maybe even improve the salvage system so that only players get a reward who actually damaged or spotted a mech). Reason behind this change is pretty easy ... trial mech users are considered to be new players who are stil farming for their first mech. So when they are forced to stay in a match and whatch other players they have some learning effect about how a mech behaves / how to move / where to aim and so on. While bots simply get nothing or give no real benefit over actually playing.

Matchmaker / Premades / Queue
Yes i know there a different phases to improve this thing but somehow it ain´t getting that much better. From what i have read in different threads regarding this "problem" 8 vs 8 is dead because of to many ECM Atlas and players having no interest in fighting against each other. While i now could propose to use the WoT grouping system (no premium account = only 1 person you can group with / premium account = 2 persons you can group with) i would definitely get some flames ... So i come up with this:
Solo-Queue: as the name says it is for all none grouped players
Additional Group-Queue: Any solo player can choose (f.e. by simple clicking a button next to the game mode) if they also want to get matched in the "premade"-queue. So they can fill up the missing spot of f.e. 7 players who are grouped. To make it worth for the solo maybe some additional bonus like 10% more cbills and xp can be rewarded.
Group-Queue: well ... as soon as you team up with someone you are only able to join this queue. And it doesn´t matter if you are only 2 people or 8. Missing spots will be filled up with other small-groups or solo-players who choosed to queue for this.

You may say it is nearly the same as it was before phase 1 ... well yes in some way you are right. But you are no longer forced to have 8 people or to split into smaller groups. As well the solo-players can actually chose if they want to compete against teams instead of getting stomped like before (and right now ...).
In addition there should be a tonnage limit for the group queue so that it is not possible to run around with 8 Atlas. Or the tonnage of both teams should only have a difference of around 50 tons.

ECM
While i don´t want to change the way this thing works i want to change the mechs able to carry it. Even if it goes against lore (or how it is called) - in the end this is a game and should be fun.
So in my opinion there should only be two mechs with ECM-slots:
1) Cicada 3C: With its top speed it can serve as a good recon and with some ac2 or something like that can deal some good damage to big and slow targets (like most missile-boats). The downside is it only has one energy slot and no missiles which makes it vulnerable against most lights and other Cicadas. So it should avoid fighting against those.
2) Raven 4X: Even with its top engine it ain´t fast enough to compete against other lights. So when it gets ECM it would take the part of the current Atlas -> staying next to the big ones and provide cover while using its big guns (uac/5 is no problem even with a big engine; so when staying near assaults you can even downgrade the engine to get more firepower) after the brawl begins. It is fast enough to get behind the big ones and small enough not to draw attention on the first sight. Using it as a recon would be more or less the last choice because a Jenner or Raven 3L can easily take it appart even without using streaks.
