Right now, the only sense of playing is fighting big robots and running for the cap is boring as hell.

it was entirely accident you can't cap rush in an awesome and i was sticking with 6 other mechs. if they failed to see the enemy then why not cap and move on to a real match instead of splitting half way having a whinge so the enemy can roll 4 people then the next. didn't realise people are desperate for a few 1000 cbills. feel sorry for the poor folk out there who just want a knife fight and don't want to play the game even when they can win.

Losing a fight is one thing, losing a game because one team is capping faster leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

yep they failed to spot 7 men comming in off the river into their base of which i was party to. they failed to protect base so they should've had what was coming to them. however 3 guys turned around saying oh no xp pug cappers and went out looking for trouble. meanwhile we haven't got enough to finnish the cap before their 5 steamroll four of us and there goes the whingers fighting chance! they were just greedy not thinking things through. it was ridiculous and the enemy was given the time to screw up the cap. oddly enough they didn't even reach our base. must've been uber cautious in the upper city then came down on us. could've been avoided but hell lets see if i can get a few cbills with some componant destruction before the focus fire wipes us out like dominos much better than capping and moving onto the next match in a few mins.

How something like 'Oh, people make less for a strategic win, so every game will devolve into deathmatch as people chase each other around the map, while those who are daft enough to cap get cursed and abused by teammates and enemies alike' got past their 'internal testing' is beyond me...

that's what happened most of our team just scraped 200 damage and got less xp and cbills cause they abandoned the team. okay so there's not much more cbills but leveling up through basic, elite and master requires xp and for the 2 mins it took it would've beneifited more players to get the winning xp amount. some people are so selfish that they want to screw a whole team over with a present handed to them on a silver platter at a mere CHANCE of winning some other way. it was a waste and of such stupidity i was driven to the forums. if you're given an easy victory by others stupidity take it!

If one team refuses to fight, the other one has the choice, cheap cap win or fight. I don't play the game for boring cap wins, that's it.

Honestly I'd rather get the xp through spotting, component destroyed and mech kills. Not only can you get more xp this way, but you get more c-bills this way.
Honestly I've played cap rush maps and come out with ~40k c-bills and ~400xp and that is with premium bonus. Yet matches that are last team standing and after losing I can still come out of it with 75K+ c-bills and 400+ xp. Come out of a 'last team standing' match on top and easily make up to 200k c-bills and 1k xp.
So when it comes to both c-bills and xp, it's better to lose fighting than win with a rush cap.
If you want to favor xp, fight to the last guy then cap.

you need to read what happened. no way did i say it was a rush it was just two turtles that chose to travel on opposite sides of the map. there was 2 mediums and the rest was heavys/assaults no cheap ninja caps that involve splitting the groups right at the start. 7 of us were ontop of the cap but three wondered off and let the enemy steamroll the four that would've had cap if the 3 had stayed then they blamed us for not joining in the fight? i've just pointed out that the decision to fight was far too late and some greedy people just backstabbed the rest of the team who had commited cause the enemy just kept well out of our way for some reason. it was not an intended ninja cap and i feel sorry for those who were commited to doing something obvious in a game and that's to win. poor them for not knowing better and that they should split the group and try fighting. i couldn't care less about cbills or xp cause i have what i want but those people who could've really needed that 400 so xp and had it given to them by a dumb enemy was robbed by those fools who thought running back to the river as the enemy swarmed on their base was a good idea. that's right they didn't stick around to defend us where they could've found plenty of action they went back up river got lost and were dumbfounded when the enemy having wiped us at their base emerged from their base to finish the rest off easily. that's how stupid the situation was. if you're going to fight then fight but don't decide to do it when its too late!

I usually don't say things like this, but...
Pro-tip: If you had four people capping and the enemy still had time to come steamroll you, they saw it coming.
Also, you lost 4 v 5. While the odds are stacked against you, that's still a winnable fight. Or at the very least, you could have gotten one kill, and made the same amount as a pacifist cap win. Sounds like you really need to L2P.
Basically, half your team wanted to play MWO and half wanted to play Foursquare. You lost at both. I suggest you stop blaming your team and move on, like the "whingers" have already done.

This.
Because we don't want to reward the people not playing the game and suicide etc etc. We have lost our rewards to base caps. There is no point to capping unless there is a last man running around griefing a team from winning.
You make more cbills and exp from fighting, even if its a loss. Rushing straight to cap and doing it before even a shot fired is pointless
