I remember thinking quite some time ago and I'm sure the idea would be quite problematic in practice both for the developers and the players too, that there should be a throttle for your mech's gyroscope. This would allow pilots of heavier mechs to move slightly faster in emergencies and would allow lighter mechs to perform more acrobatic jumpjet manoeuvres etc. All with a risk of falling over, taking damage etc. Any feedback would be appreciated.

All a gyroscope would really be capable of would be spinning faster or more slowly, as well as some eccentric superstructure that would only cater to the shape of the mech anyway. The latter would be hardwired to accommodate the loss of arms, torso, usage of ammo, destruction of parts. Much like the heart and lung and surrounding musculature in the human
