It appears the Code of Conduct is being misread by forum staff, or it was improperly written. At present, the CoC is being used to justify locking or deleting threads discussing IGP moderation of this forum. However, discussion of moderator action taken on threads is nowhere mentioned in the CoC - Only disciplinary actions taken against members, accounts, or characters. A forum thread surely does not fall into any of those categories. It is words - not a person or an account.

The pertinent section:
----------------------------------------------------
DISCUSSING DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

This category includes:

Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player, including chat logs and email correspondence between a player and a Game Master (GM)
Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a character or account on the forums
If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity
----------------------------------------------------

While this section of the CoC in no way forbids this post I am making, it would if I were to make this post about disciplinary actions taken against me or someone else, or a character or account, so I won't be saying anything else, except that use of 'proper channels' was attempted over 2 weeks ago and I have yet to have any reply.

edit: I've taken screenshots in case this posting mysteriously disappears for not breaking the CoC.

I understand it like this: We moderate a thread or post that was generated by a player. This falls under "disciplinary actions taken against a player".

But we will discuss this internally and make changes to the wording if needed.
