Adjustable Chainfire Speed.

Today I spectated a player chainfirering 3 Ultra cannons, he could have delt well over double DMG, because he only had slightly higher RPM then a single ultra.
Heat was not a problem after 10 sek shooting.
Would it be possible to adjust the chain fire speed in the future?
It could also be nice with laser, then it would be possible to alpha until 90% heat and then chain to keep it at max 90% heat.

just something that allows us to set time in between shots.
as far as the UAC5 is concerned, it used to double tap even when using the chain fire option, but at some point that either broke or was removed. currently it entirely defeats the purpose to chain fire UAC5. you will get half rate of fire because it will not fire the second shot of the set.

Keeping in mind that this is just AC5's, not Ultra AC5's, but in the OP it didnt specify. If the Ultra AC5's are going slow then isnt that a bug? They are supposed to fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, right? the downside being jamming on every 4th shot or so?
If the OP was meaning Ultra's from the start, then my bad. Not meaning to clutter the thread all up. lol

i was approaching it from the point of any weapon and applying a steady rate of fire to them. 4x ac5 is one of the few setups that keeps perfect time.
this is so i can set my 4xERPPC on my atlas to have a steady fire rate. in most cases it would be a matter of slowing down the chainfire effect.

I'd like to see more of that kind of customization anyway in the game. Being able to "program" the 'mech would make it feel more personal too.

Agreed. If the weapon has already surpassed its cool-down, it should fire immediately, when fired in chain fire mode. It seems to me that chain-fire in fact has some kind of cool-down.

0.5 seconds.
you can effectively chain fire 2x AC2, but if you have a build with more AC2 than that only the first 2 will fire. i tried to make a rapid fire long range build with 3x AC2 on a hunchback and it failed horribly because i was down on damage by 50% and was firing at a much lower rate than intended.

Wrong, you can not effectively chain fire 2x AC2s. If you chain fire 2 or more AC2s, they will shoot at the same rate a single AC2 does because of the 0.5s firing delay between weapons (which is the recycle time of an AC2). I tried to setup a chain fire script with Autohotkey but I just can't get it to work.
Can anybody post a ahk chainfire script that is confirmed to be working?
