I would like something to spend mech XP on after I mastered a chassis. A cool paint job for a few 100k xp would suffice.

Mastering a chasis should unlock No-Pants Mode, for that true MechWarrior feel.

A long time ago they said when you are targeted your icon would be different, to show you've mastered the chassis.

No clue why it never happened.

Yay... Techno garter socks for everyone.

Hmm... they said they will give something special for mastering a Chassie... Maybe they are planning 1 day client bans for every mastered chassie... that way the special thing they are giving you is time to enjoy the real life....

Although thats really overrated. Heatvision is really complicated and saying you are s a Stalker is not a good idea... on the other hand Machineguns are effective... but you get into a whole lot of trouble if you try to actually use one.

Sorta off topic, but didn't they say that closed beta testers would be getting something unique? Like a custom paint scheme or something.

No, you're thinking of that one large thread where someone wanted there to be something given to CB players.

Yeah, I'm pretty certain they said that closed beta testers would be getting early access to the game before it went open beta.

Founders got their founders' mechs (which are prime variants with unique appearance) and immediate closed beta access.
...That's about it.

How about a "I mastered this thing" decal for each mastered variant when those get in?

I'd rather once you master then you open up a new tree of free cosmetic or cosmetic + cbill unlocks that take 100kXP on the mech minimum to start advancing. That way those that are sitting with 300kXP on a chassis, not me mind you, have a way to spend some of that and get a benefit.

PGI has already talked about this in the past. I wish I had the link for it but I don't have it so I hope they jump on here to reaffirm their plans for this...

From what I can remember they said on this, just because you get and complete a MASTER on a set of mechs, that does not mean that it's over. They will be coming out with a MASTER 2, MASTER 3 and above levels and there will be special modules for those levels to get for those MASTER levels. Right now, all they have is just Master set up. They will be looking to expand the Pilot Tree when they can get in the new modules.

So for the TL;DR people, the Pilot Skill Tree will be increased for more master levels and more modules to come with them.
