There is a lot of complaints about lag, and also complaints about fracturing the community with separate servers. I'd like to fix both of these in one foul swoop.

The MWO server knows what our pings are and PGI know how much trouble it causes. Why not try and equalize the pings? All they have to do is compensate for the difference by creating an in-server delay for low ping players. You don't have to equalize it to the highest ping. Just get it closer. If all pings were within 50-100ms, I think most of the problems would be resolved.

Low ping players can still have a slight advantage, but not the out-of-wack advantage they currently have.

Thanks for reading. :)

Wow. 20 "views" and no replies. Does that make this a bad idea. Or do the people that care not come to this section???

sorry but do you know what the current plan for the netcode is? its not in its finished state. when its pretty well where they want it, what you hit on YOUR screen will take damage where you see it take damage. its called something like server side hitbox roll back. so it wont matter if some one has 5000 ping if the server told you thats where the guy is, you ask the server to fire your weapons and you hit him hell take damage.

probly why no one has responded

no body responds becuase they have given up, i posted a similar topic about ping since the last patch and of course you just get trolls saying its your pc, its your internet connection, what they cant explain is why your ping has suddenly spiked on the exact same day as the last patch and hasnt recovered since.
you play since the start of closed beta with no probs, then one day you patch and the game is unplayable. but its not the patch **** no its your pc lol. people are clueless sometimes
as far as european servers are concerned they are a good idea only if you can switch between servers, a one time permanent deal is not good enough
i will now try a last ditch re install before i contact pgi and tell them i want all my premium time back that their ****** netcode has caused me to lose

I know about their 'roll back" system and it's not working as well as could be expect (yes I understand it's a work in progress).

My main reason for this suggestion is to stop them (PGI) from breaking up this community.

But thanks anyway :D

I would be happy with one log-in server and choices as to which game server you play on, but I would prefer one "super server" along the same lines that ESO is going to try and do.

The rollback part of the netcode is not being used yet. So it can't be working at all yet. :P

Its still being implemented atm, but no date has been given afaik.
