if possible run the game in windowed mode and using the task manager see if there is high load on the CPU or GPU

Yes, that's correct, I'm running W7 64.

Screenshot as mentioned earlier although to be honest, I think it may be the game rather than a hardware / software issue as I've been digging around the forum and it seems to be a common problem with multiple threads.

Will run with Task Manager though just in case.

last resort the MWO repair kit

if it doesnt help just have to wait for the next patch if there is with all the current rant about 3PV and haters of PGI and filing lawsuits etc...

Repair kit seems to have made it slightly more stable - 10 x games and only 1 freeze.

after patch 20th every third game is freeze even on lowest resolution even in windowed, before 20th I play on 1080p with freeze 1/10, cmon man -.- its unplayable -.-

suggest lowering the res and play in windowed mode

like what i mentioned before

use the task manager to see if the GPU or the CPU is loading when the game freezes

and try using the MWO repair kit to repair the patch files

This is happening to me as well. I guess I'll give v-sync a try and see what happens.

Well, v-sync alone definitely did not fix the issue. First game in and a freeze.

It does not fix it. I also uninstall and completely redownload / install the game with every patch. I have a GTX680 /Windows 7 x64 system too. ALT-Tabbing fixes it 99% of the time, I have just gotten used to it.

I was able to fix my system freezes by downgrading my Nvidia driver to version 314.22. I believe it might be similar to the issue described here:

If you look in your Event Viewer and you see weird error messages from files owned by Nvidia, it might be a bug in the latest NVidia drivers.

I ran an Eyefinity setup (5760 x 1080) with a single HIS IceQ Turbo HD6970 for about a week and everything was OK (apart from a drop of FPS down to the mid 20s - which I could live with). All of a sudden I started getting hard lock ups - only resolution was the reset button on the PC, and in some cases I had to resort to pulling the plug out the back. Have gone back to non-finity and 1920x1080 and it's all OK again.

Done all the usual; MWO Repair tool, driver remove, clean down and re-install, but no joy. I did wonder if the GPU was getting a bit warm, but the IceQ has a manual fan control. Setting it to max and it ticks over at 50-60 degrees under Eyefinity setup, but I still get these crashes.

Most frustrating. Not sure if the single card just isn't man enough to run eyefinity in DX11 games. (CPU is i5 3570 and 16GB of DDR3)

This started for me right when the decal patch was introduced, only MWO does it,, my pc works perfectly for everything else.
