First, here are those spread sheets you were promised:
Spoiler

Second, sorry, we will never be able to use true DHS. They're too OP, you can tell, because of reasons. The Devs said so, and they would never lie to us, right? Guess we will have to wait another 10 years for the next MW game to give real DHS a shot.

Really, my main point is... I would want to test some of this stuff. By I, I mean me, as a beta tester, not me, as a paying video game customer? There should be a group, separate from the internal testing team, that lets a much larger, international, independent group of testers with different pings, bandwidth, computer specs, etc. sample material content and balance aggressively, practice with radical changes, just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. You know, stuff to extreme or rigorous for the masses who just want to play a polished game in beta.

I would be willing to sacrifice my "fun" and my game time in order to try and make this game better for everyone else. I want my beta testing to be just that, testing, not grinding for cbills or min-maxing builds. No cap rushes, no winning or losing. Just straight up testing the game and content to be released, balancing weapons on the fly, picking what values work best for modules, stuff like that.

I think even a group of 100-200 players would do wonders for quality control and feedback. Give us NDA, wipe everything every minute, I don't care. If people could take the time to give valid feedback, make thought out suggestions that are actually heeded, and take the time to make this game everything it could be, it would be awesome and advance the game much faster than we can now. Am I alone on this? Would anyone else be willing to stop playing and start really, actually, 100% testing?

TL;DR version: There should be dedicated player testers to test and tweak and try to balance the more extreme, radical, crazy stuff. This isnt about DHS. No games, no winning, no cbills, just tests

While I could care less about the heatsink thing per se, I would be willing to throw down in a pure test crucible. IDW drop regular gaming though, it'd have to be two separate entities for me.

I'm pretty sure if DHS were proper 2.0 heat sinks then I would never overheat, ever. Which would be cool I guess.

Well yes, obviously. They would have to give you the ability to play both. Even if we got "Tester001" accounts, there wouldnt be a way for the test stuff to get into the regular game.. and I dont know exactly how to explain it but I hope you guys know what I mean. Separate accounts.

Sure I would welcome and participate in a true 'Test Server' and help them test. If this is about DHS, I'm completely willing to believe them. Generally they test things and feel that it's basically ok then they release it and let the masses break their system, if they could break it before they even released it to the public it is totally broken.

I wonder if they'd open their internal test server for that or create an intermediary between dev and public. I seem to recall some statement about them actually pushing for a larger group of testers but IDK where I read that at all.

Have you tried submitting your beta tester application through the Now Hiring link?

don't forget you have TWO heat buffing efficiencies (which then get doubled). The tabletop DHS didn't have to account for additional skill trees buffing their heatsinks even further.

I don't have a business and economics degree.. Nor am I an experienced web designer. ;) But I can test numbers!

This confirms a well-known maxim that there is no perfect substitute for live data, we have been working internally towards addressing this by opening up public tests during our staging process and we will likely accelerate these plans to ensure we’re getting better scale testing for future patches.

I think they have potential. If they put some more responsibility into the hands of they player base I think they would be more successful.

they are definitely improving. but its not like we can do anything about it. they themselves have to want to be successful

This has been beaten to death already.

With the perks and other tweaks, a fully upgraded mech's DHS come out to 1.9something. The more Non-engine HS you stack on the lower this number becomes. Engine DHS 2.0, Chassis DHS 1.4
