My fellow Clansman,

I am writing this out of frustration and to share with you my current situation regarding the game.

I continue to experience random crashes and there fore am falling short in my effectiveness as a member of active combat duty.

I continue to drop and on a rare occasion can finish a drop or maybe two sequentially.

I have tried a number of trouble shooting steps to no avail. The crashes started the day of the most recent patch and have only seemingly gotten worse.

Therefore I can not promise you I will be on the firing line and fully functional until this issue is resolved.

So if I go dead stick and am not on Comms, you know why.

Have you looked into your router and found something called DDos-Potection ?
Maybe you want to raise its UDP packet threshold in order to be able to play and not be disconnected with the first malformed packet incoming as the last patch made MW:O use much more bandwidth than before, causing your problems and several others such as lagspiking, rubberbanding and the all too well known crashing on malformed packets.

Hopefully that was some help for you, otherwise I hope PGI fixes that issue really quick, as many other users have the same problems.

Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again? Also, what are your computer specs.

My sys specs -

GTX580 (@ 800Mhz)
i7-2600K (@ 4.4Ghz) (4 core - 8 threads)
Rampage IV Extreme
16GB DDR3 (Over clocked as well)
1x Crucial 120GB SDD (Boot/OS)
2x Kingston 250GB (Media/Apps)
1200W Corsair PSU

VGA/CPU are water cooled under EK blocks and ThermoChill 3X120MM Rad and Iwaki pump.
Win 7 x64 Ult.
VGA driver 320.18? (most recent)
Bios and other software/firm ware as updated as possible given age of hardware.

I am a PC tech, have been working in the field for seven years so I am familiar (not saying I'm an expert) with troubleshooting PC related issues. Currently I am the IT. Support Administrator supporting 400+ staff at a Mental Health facility where I do networking/server/desktop and lesser support/trouble shooting.

Good luck with your crashes - my only advice is to report them to support@mwomercs.com so they're aware. Being IT Support as well my instinct is to figure it out myself especially when others with similar setups are not crashing - but given that there's changes weekly to this game the best bet is to report it.

I have been trying various fixes and no luck, though last night for training I made 3 drops and no crashes. Though with a patch today... who knows...
