I think a bonus assist should go to a mech who's AMS shoots down missiles heading towards a friendly. It would make using AMS a little more worthwhile and expand the role of 2 AMS mechs.

This is something I was just thinking about yesterday as I was using my locust to cover my brawlers as they made their way across open space to close the gap with the lurms. Even a small amount of c-bills boost would be a huge difference in whether or not someone loads ams in their mechs.

I suggested something similar a couple weeks ago, basically a small c-bill+xp award per missile shot down, so long as those missiles where actively tracking a friendly target.

Even pinged them via twitter with the suggestion; it would really help build a support role in the game and encourage people to work together in pugs a bit more.

honestly I just like the NOT DYING aspect of AMS. Although if AMS was effective against Streaks I'd put 2 on my Locust just to **** the other 3S's and jenners who streak me to death.
