Recently, on a different House's board, I shared some information about myself in relation to this game. This came about after reading another person's bio and wanting to connect and be supportive of them. In sharing this, it got me thinking about the many people I've met in this game, of the diverse backgrounds we bring to the table, of what this place has meant (and/or done) to our lives...and how much (and/or little) we know about each other.

If you're up to the request, then please share your in-game and/or actual biography for all to read :)

Let it be fun, serious, both, or something in-between...whatever works for YOU. Be as open as comfort will allow.

Enjoy and Good Writing....

You First :)
Clan Ghost Bear founders Hans Ole Jorgensson and Sandra Tseng were elite warriors serving Nicholas Kerensky during the Second Exodus from the Pentagon Worlds to the Kerensky Cluster. They were also husband and wife. When Kerensky created the Clans, he decided Jorgensson and Tseng were too valuable to assign together to a single clan and would have separated the pair. Rather than be separated or directly refuse the orders of the Founder, they chose to die together. They traveled into the antarctic wilderness of the planet Strana Mechty, wandering until their supplies ran out.
In a mountain cave, waiting for death, they encountered a ghost bear. Despite their circumstance, they would not go quietly, and roared a defiant challenge at the bear. The bear did not attack, but circled and investigated until the pair, succumbing to cold and hunger, collapsed into unconsciousness. For unknown reasons, the bear did not take them as prey while they slept, but warmed them with its body, and upon waking, brought them fresh meat to eat. For three days it tended them this way, until they regained their strength. Upon emerging from their shelter, they found they had not been adopted by a solitary hunter, but by a pack.
Inspired, they returned to the Founder and argued for the clans to embrace the virtues of family and communal strength as a supplement to that of the individual. Hearing their tale, he granted their request to remain together, and honored their wilderness trial by naming their clan 'Ghost Bear'.
Clan Invasion

As of 3000, their Khan was Nadia Winson. It was in that year that she made the suggestion regarding sending a reconnaissance unit to the Inner Sphere. This ultimately led to the creation of Wolf's Dragoons. [citation needed]

During the Great Refusal on Strana Mechty, the Ghost Bears abandoned their Crusader beliefs and embraced the Warden faction, leading them out of the Trial of Refusal being waged by the Inner Sphere. They subsequently relocated to the Inner Sphere, abandoning all their Clan holdings save for their enclave on Arcadia and their posting on Strana Mechty.
They are a now a permanent feature of the Inner Sphere and have remained tranquil, save for a brief war with the Draconis Combine following the latter's attack on their capital, Alshain. Currently they have merged with the Inner Sphere faction Free Rasalhague Republic to form the Ghost Bear Dominion. It was the first true merger between a Clan and an Inner Sphere nation where the citizens treat the Clan Warrior caste as the rulers, but the ruling warriors give free reign to their Rasalhague citizens. The Ghost Bear Khan holds the main power and there is a Prince voted for by the people to control all matters concerning the population.

Powerful Clansmen, the Ghost Bears are known for their conservative nature and their strong sense of family. They joined the original Clan invasion in 3050 and seized some fourteen worlds from the Free Rasalhague Republic and Draconis Combine. They won a minor victory against the ComGuards at the Battle of Tukayyid and bode their time since. During the Great Refusal on Strana Mechty, the Ghost Bears abandoned their Crusader beliefs and embraced the Warden Faction, leading them out of the Trial of Refusal being waged by the Inner Sphere. They subsequently relocated to the Inner Sphere after the destruction of Clan Smoke Jaguar and the subsequent peace treaty between the Inner Sphere and the Clans. They are a now a permanent feature of the Inner Sphere and are abhorred by many of the Crusader Clans, who view them as traitors to Kerensky. Currently they have merged with the InnerSphere faction Free Rasalhague Republic to form the Rasalhague Dominion. It was the first true merger between a Clan and an Inner Sphere nation where the citizens treat the Clan Warrior caste as the rulers but the ruling warriors give free rein to their Rasalhague citizens. The Ghost Bear Khan holds the main power and there is a Prince voted by the people to control all matters concerning the population. In 3103, the Ghost Bear Dominion was renamed the Rasalhague Dominion, ruled by the Dominion Council.

This is my legacy im Prince KingCobra decendant of Hans Ole Jorgensson and Sandra Tseng.

Well, I guess I'll start out:

Alistair Steiner
Born near the end of the Third Succession War, he lost his parents at an early age, and was thus raised by his grandparents on the planet of Skye. His grandfather fought against the Draconis Combine in the Third Succession War, and raised the boy with a fierce sense of loyalty to the Isle of Skye. Alistair entered military service by his mid-teens, gaining a spot in the Skye Rangers, and running a number of operations for the Federated Commonwealth as well. However, his loyalty remained firmly with the people of Skye, and his continued military training included a number of missions with the Free Skye movement, though it was kept low-key so that he could still serve in the FedCom forces, should another conflict break out with the Draconis Combine.

Young, but with "an old soul," he's been told, Alistair stands ready for whatever the galaxy has to throw at him, but even he is unprepared for the coming conflict that will change the face of the Inner Sphere forever.

(EDIT: Ack, sorry House Marik. Saw this in the "recent threads" section. Didn't realize where I was exactly. Sorry about that, but I guess someone needed to kick it off.)

Name
Samuel Hentous, A.K.A.: Tarrasque

Homeworld
Home, Ironically.

Details
Raised by a Career-mercenary of a foster father, Hentous spent nearly his whole life running after the technicians and warriors in his traveling outfit named The Troupe. Whatever education he had was what the engineers and crews could tech him between jobs, but it was enough for him. By the time Samuel was of age, he was given a 'mech and taught the art of combat as a part of the Troupe proper.

On one assignment, though, the enemy of his employers came for The Troupe's support personnel and killed everyone they found. While Samuel was not amongst them, he and the others who returned from duty elsewhere at the time were grief-stricken. Driven to desperation by this attack, the remnants of The Troupe hunted down and killed the raiders they had been hired to stave off. To this day, the image of his blackened, charred, and riddled comrades' corpses as he and his last couple of friends buried them haunts Samuel.

Recently, Hentous has done better for himself, working as a technician for a time has given himself some capital and lowered cost to maintain his 'mech. The Troupe has renamed itself to the Immortal Vanguard to signify the spirit of the family they all lost. Hentous has grown into a fine warrior and is ready for nearly any engagement he can imagine. Some say he's lost himself to the need to prove the worth of his adopted family, but they don't know him well enough to know the truth; that he takes pride in the successful pursuit of excellence. Any success he achieves is a great moment for him, and he strives ceaselessly to continue as such.
