It would be great if you could save different loadout configurations for each mech variant and then later cycle between your "flavors" as desired.

Either prevent the equipping of a loadout if all parts not currently available, warn user that not all parts were equipped (but equip what you can) or allow the mech to "steal" parts from other mechs in your repertoire to complete the loadout as specced.
