Having and AC with extra range but a longer cooldown , a bit more heat and less cooldown and such, we could finally have different "manufacturer" weapons ( at least IS to start with as I don't know that clan manufacturers have variations , no infamus products with temperaments X) , if not true, do share info ) .
So for starters 3 manufacturers should be enough , focused on extra range, extra dps and less heat , with appropriate setbacks.
With these in game it would seem easier to balance a specific weapon varient then to do constant IS mech quirk passes, as some of those quirk numbers seem a tad too much.
So any specific reason not to do this?
