As PGI stated, MASC would accelerate many (IS-) Mechs to topspeeds, the game can't handle properly.

But what if MASC would implemented only on selected Mechs first?

ClanMechs can't change the engine size, so there aren't ridiculous topspeeds of 170 km/h+ at players choice.

At 3052, there are only a few MASC equiped Mechs, that could be implemented in this way the game:

"slow" enough for implementing:
Executioner (with Speedtweak ~95 km/h)

too fast:
Fire Moth (with Speedtweak ~240 km/h)

Pro: Use of module, that was in the pipeline for implementing
Con: Only one or two Mechs, that would benefit from implementation.

Alternative for IS Mechs:

Cut the max engine size for selected Mechs, like you want to increase the engine size for selected Mechs (as PGI posted for the Panther)!

So the Flea could see the game, when the topspeed with activated MASC will be limited to ~170 km/h. That's still much faster than the stock variant.
