Need to see local time on cockpit so I don't forget to pickup kids.. ;)

You can use third party OSD to show time, ram, temperatures etc. (What good mechwarrior doesnt want to know temperature of machine?)
Many available. MSI Afterburner is one. Also allow you to capture video.

I used MSI Afterburner and it works as needed.
