I would set up a very heavy command mech (could be a quad mech for the eyecandy) on a fixed rail (path) and let one team guard it. It could get some defense (equal to 2-3 turrets (destroyable?)) and a top speed lower than the slowest assault. It needs a health compareable to omega in CW.
One team is on defense and the other attacking.
If possible it would be cool to have, let's say, 3 railroutes for every map and only the defenders get to know the path on their mini map.
Goal for the defenders: all attackers destroyed / the mobile HQ reaches a safe zone. (can do so even if all defenders are down)
Goal for the attackers: mobile HQ is destroyed.
You could add a secondary objective for both teams, to encourage anti deathball behaviour (or lance roles) for example a forwarded safe zone, which can be conquered/destroyed. If the defenders succeed the route will be shortened, if attackers succeed - you guess it.
Just thought such a gametype could encourage stuff like scouting, roles for lances and asymetrical matches in general.
ps if a giant mech would be too vulnerable to snipers because of its size, maybe a platoon of tanks or a mobile HQ on wheels could do the job due to their low sig.
