A correction for you - this is not an Omnimech, so you can change the engine out.

Another thing that I should mention is the pack order you stated makes it feel more linear than it is at some points, after you buy the first package you can get the hero, reinforcements, or the higher up package without that order, so you can get the Kodiak pack and than hero, or the reinforcements. maybe went with the 2nd pack and reinforcements, or all packs, etc...
Another valuable thing to mention with the Kodiak SB is that with the MASC it'll run over 90 kph with speed tweak and XL 400

Yea with the MASC that will be crazy assault mech to deal with...
