Someone wrote it does not use ammo, but I think it does not work. Didn't seem to stop even one ATM in my stalker.

It didnt use because it didnt shoot down mssiles.

Regular AMS requires ammunition.
Laser AMS does not require ammunition.

Says so on the items, in the patch notes, on sarna.net, and that's how it makes sense, too. Laser AMS = heat. AMS = bullets.

And your point is??

Maybe you did not understand:
The *ammo* AMS is not using *ammo*. Becuse - I think - it is not firing.

I do not say anything about the laser AMSs here in this thread.

So, so to get this straight, despite HAVING ammo, the AMS does NOT fire at all?

That is correct, in the current build of the PTS regular AMS will not use ammo, but will still shoot down missles.



The best point is at 4:00 when I get attacked by a timberwolf and the AMS activates.
