2 tons of mrm ammo is 600 missles and with 20mrm's per shot with the snub nose... 1200 might be overly optimistic is all...

I'd stuck to minimum 80kph
HBK-4SP
It's not as hunchy as the others, but an XL engine is still pretty bad for the 4SP what with the tiny arms and rotund shape.
I'd go with 2 MRM10 + 2 SNPPC + LFE 255

You can switch it to an LFE
HBK-4SP
but it would run pretty hot since PPCs suck.
Could run LPL but its still a hot mech. Mediums right now arent the best for brawling anymore.
HBK-4SP
If missiles didnt suck so bad, you could run 2xLRM10s since the 4sp doesnt fall to the same problem the other hunchies have.

If you move both LPLs to one arm, shrug off some armor, and downgrade the SRMs to 4's, you can add 3 double heatsinks and end up with a cooler mech with a higher heat-neutral DPS (3.93/s -> 4.58/s).
It's also better for poking around corners and guarding with your weaker torso, and the SRM and LPL cooldowns are the same 2.7s.
Build.

No. The Snub PPCs are objectively worse than a pair of MLs on each arm. With MLs, you get same damage per salvo, similar range, less heat, less weight and no projectile travel time.
I have tinkered with a MRM-based 4SP, and eventually arrived at this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...cb9592f84afcb14
You could boat 2xMRM30 on it, true, but I found the downsides (heat, reduced speed, lower ammo capacity) not worth the trouble: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ca716235fa015cb

I usually end matches missing one or both side torsos before dying. Rarely do I die thru CT with both shoulders still intact. I don't think I'd ever run the HBK-4SP with an XL engine. With my personality and playstyle, I actually enjoy tanking for teammates, trying to ride the edge between overextending versus leaving myself enough of an out that I can take some hits but rotate back out afterwards.
I just run mine like this, and it's been configured this way for years and never changed:

The arms have been stripped of armor, but they are skinny and rarely take hits. I'm actually usually happy when they absorb some incidental fire. Maxed survival tree to increase armor and structure as much as possible from that baseline.
Lacks the ability to sustain damage output, and is heavily reliant on coolant flush (twice). Once at heat cap, all you can do is shoot the SRM6's.
Also very short-ranged, and feast or famine. Some games if your teammates have suppressed the enemy, you can bound up and get a lot of damage dealt. Other games, you get pinned or pushed on and you're screwed. Try to stay aware of where teammates are and position yourself so that they have overwatch on you. Not always possible depending on your teammates...

The PPCs are appealing and so are bigger MRMs but ultimately I found that speed was the best ally to it. Its not the peak of ingenuity but its fast enough that if the enemy team is nascar'ing you can pick off the assaults fairly well with a little helper by your side and if the two teams are stalled swapping blows its fast enough and strong enough to go around the side and break the stalemate.

To fit dual MRM30s you pretty much have to forego the arms. Here's the build I'd suggest. Its downsides are its speed (you're limited to escorting assaults), it's very difficult to shoot down UAVs, and you need to get your first five shots off before you lose your CT armour or risk the ammo there being critted.
That being said, I've always though the ASRM/ML build is a really nice build for the HBK-4SP and the light engine just made it more mobile, allowing you to go from a standard 250 to a 275LFE.
