after much testing im feeling that the 5.25 from 7 is too much of a nerf,
personally i feel the damage should be increased to at least 6,
as it would fit with the current stats of the C-ERSL & C-ERLL,


Currently all Clan Lasers saw reductions in Damage,
but for now im only ganna focus on the C-ERML damage output,
-
First looking at how much each Clan ER Laser lost in damage,
(C-ERLL 11damage down to 10damage, 9% loss in damage)
(C-ERML 7damage down to 5.25damage, 25% loss in damage)
(C-ERSL 5damage down to 4.4damage, 12% loss in damage)

as you can see the C-ERML lost 25% of its damage,
now if we increase the Damage to 6 it would be more in line with the others,
(C-ERML 7damage down to 6damage, 14% loss in damage)


Current PTS Medium Laser Stats
Weapon......Damage......Heat......Cooldown......Range......Duration...
ML.................5.00...........3.40...........3.50.............270...........0.90.......
ERML............5.00...........4.50...........4.00.............360...........0.90.......
C-ERML........5.25...........5.70...........4.00.............400...........1.25.......
increasing the Damage to 6 would bring the C-ERML better in line with the IS-ML,
but also allow it to stay distinct from its IS counterparts as Different but Equal,



i would also support normalizing the Durations between IS & Clan,
as so both IS and Clan Lasers have the same Damage per Tic(STD, ER, & Pulse)
(Damage/Tic = Time / Damage)(IS-LL= 1.10Duration / 9Dam = 0.12 Sec per 1Dam)

Large Class Lasers 0.12 Damage/Tic(IS 9Dam=1.10)(Clan 10Dam=1.22)
Medium Class Lasers 0.18 Damage/Tic(IS 5Dam=0.90)(Clan 6Dam=1.08)
Small Class Lasers 0.23 Damage/Tic(IS 3.25Dam=0.75)(Clan 4.4Dam=1.01)

I'd say just having them the same damage per tic, with the Clan weapons having 15% longer burn times and 20% more heat for the bonus range would be ideal. Get rid of the slot differences for the cERLL and you've got them pretty close to parity without being the same weapons.

Also, Heavy lasers being +10% damage and range over Clan Pulse with a 15% increased duration and heat would be nice.

Yep. Lower the damage of the CERML to 6. Lower it's duration to 1.1 so it has slightly lower damage per second of duration than the IS ML/ERML, lower it's heat and cooldown to preserve DPS and DPH. Don't up the GH limit on the CLPL or the CERLL. Lower the damage on the CHLL and lower it's heat to preserve DPH as well as cooldown to preserve DPS.

Job done. Meta already better but build variety not lowered.

Yes, but as others said, heat and duration need to be changed to match. Duration should be tweaked to allow slightly less dmg/tick (more dmg = more duration vs. IS). And heat should be set up for slightly higher DPH (more range = more heat vs. IS).

This will preserve the flavor and differences between IS and Clan while allowing both to have similar effectiveness as a whole.

cERSL needs to go back to 5, and the cERMed needs to go to 6 with a minor duration and heat buff, and thats "not up for debate" Paul, Chris Posted Image

Or they could just LEAVE THE LASERS ALONE!!! Clan laser vomit isn't the problem..

Only if IS mediums are buffed to 5.75 damage :D I mean, if 5.25 sucks then what about 5?

Either 6 damage with the current duration, or the PTS damage for 1.1 duration. Same dam/tick.

I personally would like c-er med to be a tad higher then 6 (But I’m ok with 6 also)... but I’d also like the burn time longer then it currently is on pts, (and more heat). Just my personal opinion.

I like the idea that inner sphere has quicker burn times and better pinpoint. Once again, just personal opinion.

I want c-er small to be higher dmg too...

I am strongly against 3x C-er large lasers..: especially if c-er ml is set to 6+

Why not 6.25 so it matches the pulse laser. Both the ER and pulse lasers had the same damage before

Not gonna vote this. Voting here equals being ok with the nerf. I want the clan meds to be left as they are now. I want every f*cking laser as it is now. PGI can have his increased ghost heat limit back.

i might be alone in this, but I would also like to see a buff to IS small lasers... but that might be wishful thinking on my part
