After seeing the rewards available to tournament supporters, I decided to give it a try. The c-bill boost alone would be worth it. At first everything seemed to be working fine, but with the latest rounds of events (the FW events specifically), I have not seen the injection of the c-bill rewards for completing event challenges. Is this reward only available for quick play event challenges? Or am I missing some other fine print regarding this? Or have they switched to doing the extra c-bill injections without proving a notification when you log in?

I have gotten extra C-Bills from all of them. Just now I was injected 4,250,000 C-Bills from the last Davion vs. Liao event.
