Hey, I am working on building a CTF-4X with 2 UAC5 and 2 AC5's. I have an endo skele and DHS, and before I drop >4mil credits on an XL engine, I had a question about the heat sinks. Right now I only have 9 internals with a standard 245 engine. Do you get a 10th internal heat sink with a 250+ engine? I would really prefer to get an XL245 over an XL 255 to save 1.5 tons.

How would you suggest that I go about taking advantage of my 4 ac hardpoints?

Yes, you get an extra true DHS in a 250, XL or otherwise. Very much recommended.

I say the 4x is too slow for an XL. You need to be able to withstand some heads on damage with those speeds because you are simply too slow to avoid most damage. But I prefer the quad ac/2 to the ac/5 so I'm biased
