Just curious what the rules are regarding MASC for Clan Omni Mechs and if you can/cannot add it or remove it from the Mech.

In order to remove MASC, you would have to take the mech apart and replace the myomers.

MASC can be removed or added to any mech. It would require replacing the myomer muscle system of a mech. If you are playing a campaign or RPG style game you would need a facility such as a drop ship or mech hanger in a semi permanent base. If you are just playing pick up games you only have to concern your self with the bare bones stats for MASC.
A MASC system's tonnage and critical slots equals mech weight / 20 round up. When MASC is engaged it doubles the walking speed of the mech.

MASC (Myomer Accelerator Signal Circuitry) is basically an integral part of a mech's construction.
It's "technically" separate from the myomer itself. However, it's systems are so tightly integrated that you bascally have to, as people have said, disassemble the mech and do major part swaps and software changes to get it out. You're not actually swappng the myomer bundles themselves. You're swapping out the power regulation gear that sends power to the myomers.

Yes MASC is fixed on Omnis, but you can pod mount a supercharger which gives the same speed boost, but has a chance to crit your engine rather than your legs.
