lately I have been noticing that the score breakdown does not match up with the score board.

the two scores are not always the same.

sometimes I have a larger score on the score board than someone on my team that did less damage than me and when we compare our breakdowns there is no reason for the discrepancy. next time it happens I will attempt to take a screen shot for your inspection.

so It is understood that the scoring system is broken. please fix.

Could it be they did less damage overall but scored internals or crits?

Don't forget much other things. Like TAGging enemy while they are hit with LRMs gives You exp, yet have zero damage. Spotting enemy first gives exp. As was said, component destruction gives exp, yet this could happen without much given damage but thru internal blast (i.e. ammo explosion).
So, there is not necessary need to severely damage enemy to get much exp.

I just scored xp 399 in the list of pilots but my break down showed I only made 393 in xp this is whats broken not all those other things you guys are talking about its a discrepancy in how the score is shown to everyone and how its broken down to the player
