I say it because 3048 is kind of an awkward year with an awkward political set up. You have (currently) one "super state", two major successor state and 2-3 (depending on St. Ives' status) relatively minor states. Now, compare this to the 1st - 4th Succession Wars: 5 major powers. The problem is the perception that Battletech (Mechwarrior) needs the clans in order to be financially viable, and I just don't think that's true. Eh, anyway, I'm ranting, I'll stop ;)

A fight has broken out on world against some DCMS militia units: Two Panthars and two Clints with SRMs. Managed to kill he Panthars but the Clints blew a hold in the left leg. Limping now to a garage I know...
