After being gone for years, I came back to find a much larger, yet still flawed game. The community of players seems to have improved somewhat however, and I am enjoying the whole 'I'm a noob again' feeling.

So today I discover (by accident, via forum) that the mysterious x2 blue label on most of my mechs is a DOUBLE XP FOR 1st VICTORY EACH DAY bonus, exactly like in World of Tanks. I don't know if I should be ashamed it didn't occur to me (having played WoT for way too long) or irritated that it isnit clearly explained to new players somehow in the tutorials/tooltips.

Always go heavy with the ballistic weapons: there's no problem an LBX-10AC or Gauss Rifle can't break through.
