I only got to play for two nights, but I LOVE the fast 3C missile boat. I swapped out an LRM 15 for a 10, and a ml for tag, and it is an AMAZING flanker /support missile boat.

I REALLY want to try one out in 12 mans as a support mech for a light lance, maybe even put a slightly larger engine in and drop the ml's to smalls.

As those of you who play LRM mechs know, a very big part of doing well in as LRM support is being in the right position, anticipating the flow of the battle, knowing the right spot to place yourself to allow your missiles to hit.

The speed on the 3C really allows an amazing amount of flexibility in that regard. You are fast enough to flank, throw 3-4 volleys, retreat, and not be at risk of getting caught flat footed. Or you can sit behind your main group and support them, maintaining range if the enemy presses the group. And the medium lasers mean you have enough firepower (and armor) to fall back from a light without dying (until you can get support).

I highly recommend the config.
