They were suppose to be critting much more frequently supposedly eh? Machine guns are alright (relatively at that.) I know what I'm talking about, because I first strip all the armor then unload with the MGs or crit doers. Flamers on the other hand...I don't know where to begin.

On Alpine last night we had a disconnected Jenner going circles, so we took our sweet time ripping its armor off. I literally spent 2 minutes flame broiling it and nada. LB-10X's are in the middle of the extreme ends. MG's relatively most crating, LBs not so much, and flamers I'm quite confident are broken.

What do you guys think?

Critting is useles.

If he have no armor - just kill him in 2 seconds.

MG's and flamers are only in the game to occasionally blow off steam and have some fun with useless weapons, please stop trying to use them for anything else

That's not what he means. He tested it on a stripped Jenner, and supposedly he didn't see the Flamers do any crits.

I don't use the LBX, so dunno about that.

MGs do fine, but apparently the engine cannot be critted out. Regular components get shredded though. If you are lucky of course.

Flamers seem lackluster. Only a small crit multiplier because they increase heat. Not enough imho, could use a boost.

Yeah, but don't you wish it were more than that? I mean, 5 flamers is pretty cool, and loads of fun, but wouldn't you like it if they also dealt damage?

I only use flamers as a "smokescreen" on lights. It's alright as a distraction.

It does not matter if flamer actually do crits. It will still suck and be useless weapon.

Mass and space wasted on MG and Flamers better to be used elsewhere.

Machine guns fire at such a rate that luck is not a factor, statistically. In the end, machine guns do 5 dps to internals + .4 dps to structure.

Yeah. I wonder why PGI wasted their time playing with critical chances if end result is just more or less steady DPS...

And again: critical bonus usefulness is battle is negligible.

Any critical bonus. Even 100%.

I don't think you understand what critical means

Continue so.

My argument is still valid.

If it did crits then it would have a use and I'm sure we would see more of them.

See my thread thats already up. Lots of illustrations and actual math there for the people who are interested.

Flamers = Useless

MG= useless

LB10X = next to useless.

Thats the story.

It no so bad...

LB10X have some uses. At least it DOES damage.

Actually you can combine 2xLB10X and 3xSRM6 on DDC.

I'm not a big fan of such config, but it can be used effectively.

And it is useful on fast mediums...

We dont take the mg's flamers, and lbx's to do crit damage.

We take them so we can mute the in game sound and make our own pew-pew bang-bang noises
