Hi guys,
I'm fairly experienced with MWO now and am getting really sick of PUG's and failure/ unwillingness to coordinate.

I'm looking to join a group of Mechwarrior who are courteous and competent, preferably with a Teamspeak channel I can get on.

I primarily use Hunchbacks (4SP and 4P prefered) and Cataphracts (3D and 2X prefered). I also bring an ECM Commando to the yard. I can use it, but I'd have to charge.

Feel free to come drop with us in the 25th Marik Militia. We have our own teamspeak server and 55+ active members. You can find all the info for teamspeak and enlistment at www.25thmarikmilitia.com . Hope to see you on sometime soon.

Here's a fine collection of Marik units. All friendly and of varying degrees of seriousness.

You're definitely welcome here.

Yeah, if you are wanting to join up with House Marik come Community Warfare, definitely take a look at the various units on House-Marik.net and see if you can find one you mesh with. Lots of options, from casual to hardcore to complete slackers to RP Nerds.

The Silverhawks are somewhere between slackers and casual players, at the moment, but we do run 8-mans. Mostly we are a fun-loving group of misfits that seek minimal drama and maximum enjoyment of the game.

I will chime in for the Desert Rats, as well! Come check us out! We have a unique rank system, a great group of players, a website, and we accept any skill levels, as we are willing to help bring people up to speed.

...and we also have a home with House Marik!

Hey Mortimer,

You should spend a few nights with us! We use No Guts, No Galaxy's Teamspeak server. We like to keep it casual.

EDIT: My apologies. I just saw this was in the House Marik section. I'll leave the info in case you want it

Hello!

Another vote for http://www.house-marik.net/ - there are forums and a teamspeak server to allow you to talk to and drop with a lot of units, so you can get a good feel for the unit members and general attitudes before you make a decision.

*obligatory plug for my own unit (the 4th Regulan Hussars) and how awesome they are: http://www.totheknife.com *

Im looking at putting my lasers on the line for a purpose/cause and I wanted to know if someone could give me a brief rundown of house Marik. Right now I'm deciding between the FRR and this house.

From the perspective of someone interested in the setting, this is from http://www.sarna.net...e_Worlds_League (much more information to be had there):

Quote

The Free Worlds League is notable as the first successor state founded in the Inner Sphere. It is multicultural, with strong European, Oriental and Indian influences. It also traditionally offered great autonomy to its component regions, like the Duchy of Oriente, Principality of Regulus, and Duchy of Andurien.

There's units and provinces that dislike the overarching government, and units and provinces that love it. It's a real melange.

From the perspective of someone playing the game, I'd say go to http://www.house-marik.net , sign up, and check out the forums and teamspeak to see if you dig the vibes that are being put out by different units and people.

I would definitely like to do some drops with you guys, but I can't find TS info. I registered for the site but I read that you have to have an accepted application to get on. I would prefer to try you guys out before committing to anything.

Feel free to drop by the 25th's Teamspeak Cubivorre. Our TS3 info is located at http://www.25thmarikmilitia.com ; no sign ups required! We are a House Marik unit aswell, so not only will you find 25th members on there, many members of house Marik and our affiliated Mercenaries come by for visits/drops :) .

If you've applied, that's great! It usually doesn't take very long (no more than a day or two, provided our esteemed webmasters are feeling alright) to get accepted, and then you can go to the forums and you'll see there's a whole subforum called Private Teamspeak information, and that's where you can get the relevant information.

A little "hello" post might help to make sure that folks know you're new to the house and wanting to drop with people, and then pop onto TS and look for a group that's short a pilot. It's not any sort of permanent commitment, so you don't have to worry about that, and even if you do decide to join the FWL, you can be an independent pilot under that umbrella or you can join a unit within the house.

Also there's no "commitment" with the app, it's just joining the community and letting us know a little about you, no hard feelings if you don't find a home here.
