Ok, so... I've had a few (Okay, a LOT) and I had an idea smack me like a Mack truck.

That "Ready Mech List" of 4 mech's? Yeah, I don't think I ever use it. And I know we've got a dropship emulator incoming, but, what I was thinking...

We select four mechs, then get our map, then before the match countdown starts, we select our preferred mech for that map. Because let's face it, no military is going to send a contingent of brawlers to a huge desert planet.

Yes, I know with the current iteration of the random selection supposedly makes boats think twice. but the truth is, 4 of 5 maps are brawler maps and brawler boats just take their chances since I hardly see Alpine. I recorded and on average I see the other 4 maps (both iterations) at least twice for every time I saw Alpine. Which is 7 maps of brawling for every Alpine snipe map. And I run an Awesome the majority of the time.

And the one time I decide to take a brawler I get Alpine. So of course I'd like to see the ability to select a mech that I have prebuilt for a certain scenario, especially once we get more maps, I think it'd really allow people to put some though into it.

Interesting twist on the select you mech after you know the map requests. You can chose up to four mechs, then you're told the map - from there you can choose one of the four mechs best suited to work on the map.

I kind of like it.

I love this idea, no more taking mechs with lotsa energy hardpoints to caustic valley or brawlers to alpine. Yeah were definitely going to see more boats built specifically for a map in every drop but atleast everyone has the choice to bring the mech best suited for a level into it.

Having said that I would miss seeing splatcats in alpine. talk about not dressing for the weather
