Tbt-3C?

It's the version I bought and so far I am not super impressed. I know it's got an XL engine, but it seems I end up dying SUPER fast in every game? Like a couple of shots and I'm dead.
I have tried different classes of mech. I also have a Cicada, which is another Medium. So, I wouldn't think it's just me not being used to lighter classes.
Anyone has any comments on the matter? Has anyone tried the 3C and loved it?
Thanks

Never run any mech you buy stock.
NEVER.
Always look at it in the mechlab and do some minor adjustments, like moving the ammo to cockpit and legs, changing heatsinks to doubles, maxing CT and side-torso armor.
Some mechs are almost good stock, but they are few and far between. If you want to keep stock weapons loadout feel free, just dear god mess with the rest of it or expect to die.

There you go. It keeps the spirit of the original build while fixing the terrible armor. I don't like mixing arm and torso lasers anyway.

Probably my second fave Treb.
I run max armor, 4 medium Pulse lasers, 2 streaks and 17 DHS. And everything else is engine. I use it as a scout hunter. But in most cases I prefer the TBT-7K, which is something I never expected.

I run something similar, but with 5 rather than 3 ammo and no artemis (for now). Probably gonna do Art., and lose armor from less vulnerable places. It's really not supposed to get hit anyway. But 3 ammo seems like too little to me.

Its because the Trebuchet is absurdly large. Its as tall as an Awesome. I find that the 7M is the only viable Trebuchet bcause of jumpjets.

Like a faster 4SP with jump jets averaging 700 damage a game kinda good.
Prolly not viable for competitive play with all the sniper builds but it sure is fun in pugs.

They aren't worth it on the Cent or Hunch, as they're too slow. The Treb can actually get up to a really healthy clip and pack some decent firepower and maneuverability in the form of jump jets. You can't play a brawler with an XL, that's for sure. It's a wicked fun little mid-to-long range harasser that can cause tons of chaos from the enemy's flanks. I'm quite enjoying it.

A flamer in the face makes mechpilots do funny stuff.
