Well I have witnessed quite a few times my streaks MISSING fast moving targets. This actually makes sense to me, if you can move faster than the missile you should be able to dodge it. But when a 'miss' then hits the 'Mech it was launched from: things are just getting silly!
The situation:
Caustic Valley, enemy team obliterated, 1 'Mech left, a Jenner.
Rather than fight, the Jenner, started doing tight circles at max speed. This is where the silliness started. The 'Mechs on my team (myself included) made a loose circle around this Jenner, stood still and started shooting.. we missed.. ALOT lol.
I stared using my 1ML, getting glancing Hits.
Ok now I moved back, TAG'd the Jenner and fired my 2x LRM20+Artemis Most Missed 0.o umm oh kaay.
Moved in closer, and fired my 2x Steak SRM 2. They MISSED (huh da fu whaa?)!
We were laughing as we tried to kill this Jenner (some team mates were getting some lucky glancing shots but noting really damaging on the Jenner, some friendly fire ensued by accident as well) We were starting to get worried as the time was running down.
I started chain firing my Streaks and single ML and watching as the Missiles looped around like a boomerang trying to hit the tight fast circling Jenner. And then it happened, one of my Streaks actually DID boomerang and HIT ME. This happened 3 more times before we finally killed that Jenner.
This situation was very funny at the time but makes me wonder if indeed PATCH 1.0.150 is still in effect regarding Streak SRM 2's? It is hard enough to hit lights now that they can Stop locks with ECM, but if my team can counter ECM I would like to know that my Steaks can actually hit.
Has anyone else experienced similar Streaking issues since the Feb 18th patch?
