Hi,
I don't know where to write it, so i write here
I have a problem with installing the newest patch. It simply stops about 1/3 patching progress bar.
Then new window apears and asks me if i want to quit patcher oO. When i click on quit, it quits... (simple) and if i click "cancel" nothing happens, and it could stay that way for hours.
Did someone meet that problem too?
I've tried even to reinstall game, but it didn't help...

Same problem. Mine seems to get all the way through and then asks to quit or cancel... the latter of which just sits and idles forever.

I haven't heard of a problem exactly like this before. I'd try sending an email to support and see if they can help you. Also when you re install make sure you delete all the old MWO temporary files and clean your registry with something like CC cleaner. That should help.

Same issue, so is a reinstall required or is there a work-around?

Try running the patcher in windows safe mode.
Boot up your computer, before windows loads hit F8 until you get to windows boot menu. Then select 'Windows Safe Mode with networking' and then run the patcher.
I had this issue a while back and this worked for me.
The menu should be like this depending on your flavor of windows, I'll bold and underline the option to pick

Yep, looks like the best solution atm is to keep trying it till it works, and if it doesn't I just say reinstall the patch.

My patch installed ok but when I launch into a match it loads about a third of the way then freezes. Currently reinstalling... waiting for the 1.7 GB patch to install... I'll report back on if that works or not.

please check sometime the support forums
here is your solution
1- Patched the game until I got error message about closing the launcher.
2- Closed the launcher.
3- Went to "\MechWarrior Online\MechWarrior Online\Bin32\" and deleted the following files:
CryRenderD3D9.dll
CryRenderD3D11.dll
mwoclient.exe
And the _old and _new versions of all 3 of these files (so 9 files total).
4- Restarted the launcher and the patching process.
Once it reached "finalizing patch 1/2" there was a 5 minute pause, then it began downloading the new files and applying patch 2/2.
